A PERSONALIZED TREASURE OF NAUTICAL HISTORY WITH RETRO FLAIR TO INSPIRE INFLUENCERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.

Young Woman And The Sea tells the story of Trudy Ederle, the first woman to ever swim across the English Channel in 1926 -- and the fastest by 2 hours to accomplish the feat. 

To celebrate the compelling story of this epic achievement and promote the Disney+ release, we developed Travel Trunk Mailers for a curated group of 10 Disney-selected influencers to inspire social sharing and enhance their viewing experience. 

IHC led creative development of the package and its contents, and also facilitated packaging and shipping, transporting recipients back to Trudy’s historic era.

MAILER CONTENT

Designed to resemble vintage 1920s luggage with leather straps and metal buckles, each trunk case was stuffed with bespoke and branded items, including a beach blanket , luggage tag, books, and actual water sourced from the English Channel. Exact coordinates of the location were printed on the bottle’s label, and a QR code played proof of the water collection.

A phonograph bluetooth speaker, swim goggles, SPF Balm, and a chicken dinner gift card rounded out the kit, nodding to key themes from the film. For a personal touch, we included a one-of-a-kind, period-specific memorabilia, such as original press photos, newspaper clippings and even a personalized autograph.
