









For their debut on the SXSW stage, TikTok engaged IHC to produce a full day’s worth of conference style events with a dining experience, speakers, influencer gifting and a late night party.
The day kicked off with an exclusive brunch for marketers, where TikTok team members educated industry professionals on the platform’s live capabilities and best practices for engaging with creators. At night, the space transitioned into a vibrant party with live performances and an interactive creator marketplace, showcasing different creators on the app and the variety of joy and talent TikTok cultivates.
Inspired by 90s mall shapes and designed with a Gen Z sensibility, we built creator kiosks that provided a minimalist yet fun design, providing a platform for the creators to display their unique and handmade products. @marketbotany had an abundance of plants, @speckledbrownie brought her custom pottery and DIY kits, @alilscribble provided her unique drawings and prints, and @thundervoicehatco had handmade hats and blankets. Guests were invited to browse the stalls, interact with the creators, and take home products from each -- dubbing what many called “the best swag bag at SXSW!”









Once the day’s activities came to a close, the venue was transformed into one of the hottest parties at SXSW with a full line-up of TikTok talent, food, drinks and gifting.
Guests were clamoring to get in (including Mark Cuban) -- the line around the block didn’t let up all night, indicating this was the party to be at! @koozebane set the vibe all night long, DJing in between special surprise performances from @sheiskings, @tracy.oj, @keke.janajah, @besperon, and @branmovay.
All guests were also gifted a custom, pressed on-site record featuring songs from the TikTok creators who performed that night.





To encourage guests to play with the TikTok LIVE feature, we invited them to Go LIVE with us! Through curated props (along with the mandatory ring light and a custom backdrop), we highlighted five communities distinct to TikTok and helped guests execute a live post to their followers. No TikTok event is complete without showcasing the power of the platform.
