We drew inspiration from scenes within the special feature, bringing Mantis’ vision of Peter Quill’s perfect Christmas to life. The main room at Neuehouse was transformed into a Winter Wonderland of Guardians cheer, combining traditional holiday decor with animatronics.

Customized items included a Groot candy cane machine, a life-size Cosmo, and Guardians of the Galaxy logo mantle with stockings dedicated to each character from the film. Special attention to detail was considered at every corner of the event as guests enjoyed warm holiday-themed signature cocktails served by bartenders decked out in Christmas attire while dancing under a string of vibrant lights!

In addition to producing the event, Disney enlisted IHC to curate a guestlist of creators, actors, musicians, and all around Marvel enthusiasts to join in on the fun! We reached into our rolodex to pack out the event, resulting in 200+ attendees which included talent and film fanatics.

The Rose, Ben Lee, Ione Skye, Anna Lilly Amanpour, Reese Feldman, Leah Lamar, Jarry Lee, Andre Hyland, Kyle Ng and Khleo Thomas were among the names that joined us for the special evening, and Guardians of the Galaxy stars Pom Klementieff and Sean Gunn made a surprise appearance to give a speech introducing the special! Of course, The Cobrasnake was on hand to capture all the magic as well!

As a feature, we produced an epic 4D photo experience alongside our partner Tommy B allowing guests to recreate the Holiday Special’s poster. Created out of a mix of practical set pieces and digital overlays, fans stepped up to pose in front of a brick wall on a sidewalk, while a passed-out Drax and Mantis were photoshopped into the frame.

We added the special’s vibrant logo atop the image, for a fun and shareable moment to help guests to remember the evening and encourage distribution across their social platforms!
