Staged as an album launch party for The Rolling Stones’ closest friends and family to hear Hackney Diamonds for the first time, the band also treated guests to a surprise live performance of the newest tracks and some iconic favorites.
To close out the set, Lady Gaga joined onstage to perform the single “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” together to a packed crowd of A-listers including Daniel Craig, Chris Rock, Jimmy Fallon, Trevor Noah, Christie Brinkley and Mary Kate Olsen, to name a few.
In partnership with UMG and AEG, IHC rounded out the evening with an eye on creating a can’t miss party by envisioning an environment that brought the album to life and an atmosphere that captured both this spirit of the Stones and their latest album creative, complete with fractured lighting and bespoke built centerpieces throughout the space.
In addition to booking special DJ sets by Questlove and Samantha Urbani, we brought in illustratorJaki Doyka to draw live portraits of guests. The Cobransake was also on the scene capturing the vibrant energy of evening. Since all phones were bagged upon arrival, a Hypno photobooth allowed guests to make a digital momento to remember the evening and use as proof of attendance to the special spectacle.
A premium open bar featuring themed cocktails, and rock candy and glittery cupcakes topped with the Rolling Stones cracked tongue logo were on display for guests to help themselves to.
In an homage to the iconic logo and the visuals for Hackey Diamonds, we incorporated deep lush reds throughout the venue and incorporated roses and crystals that created fractal lighting effects reminiscent of diamonds. Dramatic light design amplified the experience.
