“THIS IS SO SICK, DUDE!” - GUEST

FANTASTIC FOUR OWNED THE SHORE WITH A 4th of July STUNT

The Fantastic Four made its mark on July 4th with a larger-than-life stunt designed to surprise, delight and dominate social feeds. A massive sand sculpture in the shape of the legendary “4” rose from the shore, turning heads and stopping beachgoers in their tracks.

Combined with custom branded giveaways, this moment blended spectacle with sentiment, driving connection and content from families, fans and media.

THE SCULPTURE

The activation centered around a striking, dimensional sand sculpture of the iconic Fantastic Four emblem, brought to life by a team of world-class sand artists led by Greg LeBon. Sculpted directly into the San Clemente shoreline, the 44-foot-wide installation pushed the limits of space and scale, delivering a bold visual statement with cinematic flair.

Unveiled on July 4th through Marvel Studios’ social channels, the massive "4" quickly became a focal point of the beach, drawing curious onlookers who stopped to take photos, explore the space, and engage with the experience. Beachgoers brought the "Fantastic" spirit to life, turning the stunt into a shared celebration of summer, spectacle, and superhero storytelling.

GIVEAWAYS

To elevate the on-site experience, Fantastic Four-branded umbrellas were handed out and placed around the sand sculpture, instantly transforming the beach into a bold, cinematic landscape. Each umbrella came with a custom carrying case, encouraging guests to take them home and extend the "Fantastic" energy throughout the summer.

Brand ambassadors engaged beachgoers with additional giveaways, including Fantastic Four hats, Snapple, and Pop-Tarts creating fun, fan-forward touchpoints that sparked excitement, encouraged social sharing, and reinforced the spirit of the Fourth. Many guests set up their umbrellas on the spot, amplifying the visual impact and expanding the footprint of the activation across the shoreline.
