While everyone else is either dancing in the streets behind a certain dead someone, watching someone famous deejay another famous person's song or saying that the recording industry is dead due to them not selling records anymore, people are still killing shit the right way. Enter: DEATH GRIPS. Zach Hill (the drummer behind math rock riot band Hella) and 5 of his homies are just setting California's capital ablaze with this out of control shit. When the above video was shown, it seemed like every nerd and underground denizen jumped for motherfucking joy at the thought of dudes being allowed to do ill shit again. Look, it was ALWAYS okay to do ill shit. Just because record labels are losing money on what they think "new and exciting" means, doesn't mean that everyone has to be half dead on stage and in the studio. Type-happy bloggers are already lining up to call this the replacement to groups like Anti-Pop Consortium and that whole exodus of avant garde rap, and I'm cool with that. I hope this means that it's cool to like mysterious rap again...... (oh yeah, here's a mix they dropped the other day. it burns...)
Death Grips - Exmilitary by deathgrips

Sorry for the shady pic that refuses to format itself to a good idea, but I'm just saying. Never mind that she kills it inna future dancehall stylee (with the emphasis on DANCE) over every sort of beat like riddims of olden times. You can even forget that she is pretty f___ing hot in the same way that Patra and Lady Saw were pretty f___ing hot. All you really have to do is click THIS link, download her new free thizzle entitled "Songs To Fuck and Fight To" and prepare to get your wig split in segments. All for the lovely and quickly negotiable price of free.99. Thanks to Leo from Awesome Agency for lacing me with that and a bunch of other new-new thing-things for you to play-play.....
Spoek Mathambo and Cerebral Vortex are killing it on behalf of dudes who are allowed to rap over dance songs from time to time. Spoek's new record on BBE is killing it and I guess the guy just got on THIS remix that Diplo and Stenchman did for Robyn. It is some cold shit. She Whoa Whoa Whoa, indeed.......
You guys who aren't watching The Simpsons HAVE to see this. I mean, I love Banksy's work and we all know that The Simpsons has been a pop barometer since they got off the Tracey Ullman show and got into our minds and hearts on a weekly basis. Matt Groening has literally shaped the minds of 2 generations and now he's giving the city's keys to a dude who once printed up a million pounds (UK money) worth of counterfeit money with Princess Di's picture on them, among other things. I'm glad to be alive during this point in history, where such cultural mis-mashing happens on a daily basis........ In other news and exploits, the compilation described below drops tomorrow and here is a sneak preview for all of you sneaky folks.....
#STEALTHVOLTRON [Preview] by the b.e.a.r. group
How goes it, true believers? I'm still abroad and unabridged, writing stuff and reading more than that. Up above is a trailer video thing that the dudes at my label the b.e.a.r. group cooked up for this new compilation that we are dropping next week for the grand price of FREE.99 entitled #STEALTHVOLTRON. If you like electronics, some rap and the future then it's for you. Some genius removed the video right after I uploaded it every/anywhere and it took a couple days to notice because I was out playing shows in the Saxon countryside. I'm sorry for the flip-up, it won't happen twice and my next blog will have some fun stuff in it for you to do a little dance to....
Man, it's almost been 3 years since I started posting for IHEARTCOMIX! and that is just nutso as heck when I look back on it. Now I can't keep track of what to post where and this blog is responsible for finding a few folks from my fam new fans so, thanks Frankie for the fine favor. Lots of Fs for you right there. Anyway, my inbox has been filled full of all sorts of delights from various new (and old) groups of distinction and as usual, I have some things to share.... Nick from Blamma! Blamma! has been keeping the name going strong by dropping some unreleased knockers on lovely labels all over. In the last couple of months, he smashed a Beyond 17 re-edit to bits and went in hard on a Crookers mix that I got permission to run below:
We're popping bottles of prosecco sekt right about now because we FINALLY dropped an EP that will get run regardless of the format or lack of over the top PR. Unison is from france, sounds like Slowdive on angel dust and HERE is their EP for sale on iTunes and wherever fine digital products are sold. I'm so juiced, I'm about to go sit in the park and drink this bottle while smoking reefers and stealing someone's wi-fi so I can finish this "promo campaign" and go back to hanging out with my swedish wife like a good bo$$.
oh yeah, we have stacks of wild shit for you to buy and just for free because we like you!
Howdy squares, here is a new video from the fun folks at We Collect Enemies! This one is courtesy of The Dark Snuggler (a secret pseudonym from the wild and wooly DJ Wool of The Glass) and all I want to do is trip the light fantastic when I see and hear it. As should you, so cop the new digi record and go to town!!!! There has been a damned slew of new stuff dropping in unconventional and unorthodox forms as of late, all under the watchful radar of the "press" and industry. Bandcamp is like the Colette of the digital music game, everyone has one! Since I don't really know what is good/bad to run on here in regards to labels tripping these days, I'm going to hoard these 200+ songs I just got dropbox'd and come back thru when I get some clearance from the right folks..... Here is a remix by Lars Molston from the new single, press play and go H.A.A.M.

I spoke on WCE and their rise to doom before, but now you get a chance to really get on their hype with their second release by the fresh farmers known as Broad Bean Band coming to you out of lovely and green Ireland! I could get into the whole bio run about Clovis and her way of cultivating bio-organic vegetables on her own farm or Andrew programming for your favorite rock groups, but I'd prefer to let you press play and trip the fuck out since that is what time it is right now. I was fortunate enough to do a remix for the single and NME said it sounded like a mix between Pink Floyd and Portishead, I'm on my own dick for a week. It's on Beatport right now and everywhere else very soon. Cop it, Thank you and good night.....
why is this video so sick? whatever they smoke in sweden isn't that good (trust me) but the shit makes you dress like the chick from The Knife and make videos like this one..... I'm fucking with it so much that my fiancee is swedish, you can call me Tiger Hood$.....
I'm surprised no one saw it and posted it sooner......
I sure do. That's why this is the video for my new digital single "leggings are the style of the day" available at the GET CREV bandcamp boutique as one of it's inaugural releases. Check it out and compliment a lady on their choice of leggings..... who needs a record deal when you have quick wits, your own brand, good taste and a booking agent?
