In my quest to write more posts in a day than my beloved Hipsterrunoff, I'll end with one about Kasper bjørke. He's releasing a 12" entitled 'In Gumbo' on The Glass' Plant Records. The first single is called 'Doesn't Matter' and has remixes by Juan MacLean, Jack Schidt, and Kasper's own with help from one of my other fav's, Tomboy (in which Kasper also has a side duo project with, dubbed Filur).

Plant Music is making the smart move and holding out on the not-so-typically-disco Juan MacLean mix, and if you go to Kasper's Myspace you'll hear why. They did release Trentemøller's rework of the Schidt remix that sounds like Vitalic playing in a metro tunnel with Jim Morrison on vocals.

We also got Kasper's remix of The Ting Tings that starts out sounding like Ladytron and then moves to the cheer squad that became electronic music vocalists...Sounds like they're mad at the guy who called out another girl's name during the make-out sesh....

It'd been quite a few years since we last heard Annie's syrupy sweet voice practically drip from our ears. She last left us with 'Chewing gum' and 'Heartbeat' which were enough of a sugar rush to keep your insulin levels above average for a while. Well, I guess she's back now after time i the studio and is rumored to be ready to drop her new album. I guess the promo trend is to release a remix and a mix because here's another tag team. This Shakes remix has gotten a good amount of blog love I'm thinking because they added some savory to her sweet.

In Flagranti-run Codek Records is set to put out 'Super Sounds Vol. 3'. It's a compilation of edits, reworks, remixes by a few artists in the Codek Family including a nice rework of Freddie Mas - tails of prevalence by Brennan Green. Ever since the first 'Super Sounds' release, there has been much speculation that the artists included are actually In Flagranti in disguise since no one had heard of the artists before (or subsequently anything after) the release. Alex and Sasha, you cant hide your lazer popping reverb disco from us.....we love you too much.

Whoever said that there's nothing in Siberia besides snow and bison? Now you can put Eclier on your global radar. He just released his very first EP on Boxon Records (also home to Tom Deluxx and Toxic Avenger's new maxi). It's filled with fidgety, distorted...almost symphonic electronic music. The bouncy Jusice and plucky Oizo influences arent hard to detect, either. Oh wait, aren't there Siberian Huskies, too? So snow, bison, huskies and now Eclier.....thanks Siberia. And thanks Boxon, the Box is On.
